Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak noted that the President of the Czech Republic has become a “great friend of Ukraine”, and this indicates that Europe is quickly getting rid of Russian influences.
“Pavel always clearly put the accents: Ukraine should receive all the necessary assistance, and global politics should get rid of any pro-Russianness. Congratulations to the Czechs on the right choice!” he stressed in his Twitter post.

Recall that the presidential election in the Czech Republic, according to the count of all votes, was won by 61-year-old retired general Petr Pavel, who served as Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Army and actively supported military assistance to Ukraine with weapons. His rival, the 68-year-old billionaire Babis, who served as prime minister from 2017 to 2021, argued that peace must be achieved through negotiations with Putin.
