Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the end of the war in Donbass his main goal. He stated this during the New Year's greetings to fellow citizens, published on his Telegram channel.

“And, unfortunately, we have not yet ended the war in the east of our state. And this is my main goal. That is why I say goodbye. Because the next year will definitely be better! ”, – stressed the head of the Ukrainian state.

According to Zelensky, the line of demarcation in Donbass will disappear in reality when it can be removed from the minds of Ukrainians. The President also said that Ukraine is not intimidated by any army on the Ukrainian border, since the country is protected by “not just any” of its troops.

The Ukrainian leader also lamented that the country's residents do not want to get vaccinated, calling the coronavirus pandemic a common pain.

Earlier, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that Zelensky is ready to call Russian President Vladimir Putin. Before that, the President of Ukraine said that he would contact the head of the Russian Federation directly if the administrations in Kiev and Moscow did not agree on problematic issues.
