President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wrote down a new appeal to the Ukrainians. In it, the head of state said that he had signed a decree on awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine to twelve defenders, six of them posthumously.
• Lieutenant Colonel Eduard Nikolaevich Vagorovsky (posthumously). Killed, taking our aircraft out of the missile attack. He gave others the opportunity to take to the air.
• Major Kolomiets Dmitry Valerievich (posthumously). He saved his brothers, diverted the fire of enemy aircraft and was shot down by an enemy aircraft.
• Lieutenant Colonel Matulyak Gennady Vasilyevich (posthumously). White church. Destroyed a cluster of enemy vehicles.
• Lieutenant Molchan Vitaly Anatolyevich (posthumously). In anti-aircraft combat, he destroyed two enemy aircraft.
• Colonel Oksanchenko Alexander Yakovlevich (posthumously). Killed in air combat, diverting enemy aircraft.
• Senior Lieutenant Radion Vyacheslav Denisovich (posthumously). Thanks to his courageous actions, the entire brigade aircraft took off in Vasilkovo, and this saved ours from a missile attack.
• Senior Lieutenant Andrey Andreyevich Gerus. Over the city, Kropyvnytskyi shot down an enemy Il-76, which prevented the landing of Russian troops with weapons.
• Brigadier General Dmitry Sergeevich Krasilnikov, commander of the Sever operational-tactical grouping. For two days he fought off a continuous assault, saved people and equipment. And he did not let the enemy into Kharkov from the Luhansk region.
• Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Nikolaevich Kruglov. He led the Buk air defense system from enemy attacks and personally destroyed two Russian helicopters and one aircraft.
• Colonel Alexander Vladimirovich Mostovoy. Near Vasilkovo, he shot down a Russian Il-76, as well as two Mi-24 helicopters, which prevented a landing with weapons.
• Lieutenant General Sodol Yuri Ivanovich. In the battles for Volnovakha, he saved our guys from the cordon, organized a successful counteroffensive. Brought people out from under the blow of the enemy. Very effectively protects Mariupol.
• Colonel of Medical Service Khoroshun Eduard Nikolaevich. He personally organized the defense of the military medical center in the environment and carried out the evacuation of the wounded.
Zelensky also spoke about negotiations with Russia and accession to the European Union.
