Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state awards to 159 employees of the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Emergency Service and the State Border Service, 27 of them posthumously.
The corresponding decree No. 141/2022 is published on the website of the head of state.
The awards were conferred “for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath” ;.
The President awarded the defenders with the orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, For Courage and medals For Impeccable Service, Defender of the Fatherland and For the Military Service of Ukraine.
55 servicemen of the National Guard, 73 of the National Police, three – State Emergency Service, 28 – State Border Service.
Recall that the International Court of Justice in The Hague ordered Russia to stop military operations in Ukraine, which it began on February 24, 2022.
