Ukrainian President Zelensky assured Biden that the country's major cities are well protected

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a recent telephone conversation with American leader Joe Biden assured him that the Ukrainian capital and major cities of the country are reliably protected. It is reported by TASS.
“We will stop any escalation towards Ukraine. The capital of Ukraine, Kiev, other cities of our state – Kharkiv and Lviv, Dnipro and Odessa – are safe and under reliable protection, ”Zelensky said, quoted by the office of the President of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine also stressed that the Ukrainian side “understands all the current risks and is ready for any development of the situation.”
In addition, the parties discussed ways to achieve de-escalation and peace within all possible negotiation formats. Zelensky's office revealed details of the talks between the two leaders and said they had focused on steps to achieve descalation in Ukraine. Biden promised to give a “quick and decisive” response to any potential aggression against Ukraine.
On February 13, Presidents of Ukraine and the United States Volodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden had a telephone conversation. As a result of the conversation, they decided to continue diplomacy to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. The leaders also discussed the security situation, economic issues and sanctions against Russia.
