President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the desire of the leaders of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev, to organize negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow. About it writes RIA Novosti.
According to Zelensky, the presidents themselves offered to arrange a meeting with Russia. “This is to be welcomed,” he commented on the situation.
Earlier it became known that Zelensky agreed to talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Kyiv is currently consulting with Moscow on the time and place of negotiations. It was later reported that the President of Ukraine had asked Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to mediate the meeting.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special operation in the Donbass. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of martial law in Ukraine and the severance of diplomatic relations with the Russian side.
