The Presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Vladimir Zelensky and Joe Biden, will hold another telephone conversation today, January 27. This will be the second talks between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States in January.
This was announced by the press secretary of the President Sergey Nikiforov.
“It will be a logical continuation of close cooperation, coordination of actions and evidence of Ukraine’s support by its reliable partner. This will be the second conversation between the presidents in January and the third in two months. We will announce the results on the website and on social networks,” Zelensky’s representative wrote.
It is expected that the leaders will touch upon issues of the peace process, security, in particular energy, defense cooperation, macro-financial support, anti-oligarchic reform.
According to media reports, the talks are scheduled for 20:00 Kyiv time.
It should be noted that on January 2, US President Joe Biden had a conversation with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. Then during the talks, US President Biden made it clear that in the event of an invasion of Ukraine, Russia would receive a “decisive response” from the United States and its allies and partners.
Recall that on January 26, a meeting of political advisers of the leaders of the Normandy format participating countries took place in Paris. The negotiations lasted more than eight hours.
