Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that it is important for the Union State to defend itself against information threats from the outside, which have long been not even threats, but a consequence of direct aggression against Moscow and Minsk. She announced this on the air of the BelRos TV channel, RIA Novosti reports.
According to her, the two countries also need to develop new media. The Russian diplomat stressed that this would require a legislative base, interaction of various departments and union bodies. She noted that it is necessary to develop the available resources, but not on a leftover principle, but, on the contrary, to tighten up modern forms of communication.
In the same interview, Zakharova named one of the main results of the outgoing year. According to her, this result was the restoration of life, which “nearly collapsed” in 2020 due to the pandemic. “Based on my feelings, the twenty-first year has passed under the sign of recovery,” she said. The Russian diplomat also noted that it is turning out to overcome the decadent sentiments of 2020.
