Maria Zakharova
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova responded to an interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She wrote about this in her Facebook account.
“You know, a lot fell into place in understanding what democracy is with the specifics of the British monarchy,” Zakharova wrote. She stated that from Oprah Unfrey's conversation with the Duke and Duchess, it follows that even the most protected members of the British elite do not feel safe.
According to the representative of the department, the British establishment is in collusion with the press, and the press manipulates public opinion, forming an appropriate perception, which may in principle not coincide with reality, even contradict it.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview came out on Monday, March 8th. During the conversation with the TV presenter, the Duchess of Sussex hinted at racism in the British royal family. For example, some of the members of the dynasty during her first pregnancy showed concern about the skin color of her future son. She also admitted that she had previously thought about suicide.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have ceased their duties as members of the British royal family on April 1, 2020. To be eligible to move to the United States, work and do business, they had to give up the Your Royal Highness, government funding and the Sussex Royal brand. After signing an agreement with the Netflix video service, Harry and Meghan have achieved financial independence from the royal family.
