The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, criticized the statements of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken about the possibility of autonomy in the Donbass. The Russian diplomat believes that the revision of the Minsk agreements advocated in Washington could eventually undermine the peace process and lead to further escalation in the region. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
She drew attention to the words of the US Secretary of State, who noted that the Minsk agreements can be implemented only if their “proper order” is found. According to Zakharova, it is strange to look for the correct sequence of actions in a document where it is already spelled out. She also accused the American representatives of provoking Kiev to anti-feats with their statements.
According to Blinken, Ukraine, on the contrary, is conscientious about the implementation of the agreements. “The agreements talk about a special status for Donbass, and I believe that in due course, the Ukrainians will be ready to move forward,” the Secretary of State said.
