British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss must apologize for spreading lies and disinformation, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing by the department. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
“The head of the British Foreign Office is obliged to apologize for the spread of lies, and she is obliged to apologize to the people of Russia, the people of Ukraine and the people of Britain, and also to those [Western] media that considered her statements to be true,” Zakharova urged.
On February 15, Zakharova said that the information spread in London about Russia's invasion of Ukraine “under a false flag” was “a clumsy attempt to save face.” “British Foreign Minister Liz Truss does not give up, she decided to disgrace herself to the end. Apparently, a lot is at stake,” the diplomat stressed.
