Zakharova called on Poland to “fear God”

Maria Zakharova

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on the Polish side to be afraid of God and start looking for and punishing those who desecrate the burials and monuments of the Red Army soldiers who were liberating Europe from fascism located in the country. This is how she responded on her Facebook to Poland's accusations of Russia's attempts to spoil its reputation.

“As many lies and filth as the Polish politicians have poured on Russia, would be enough to fertilize the Gardens of Eden. The history of the Second World War, the crash of the presidential plane near Smolensk, the deplorable results of the color revolutions in Europe, the infodemia of the coronavirus period – according to the logic of a number of representatives of official Warsaw, Russia should be blamed for all this and many other things, ”the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman wrote.

Zakharova noted that if Poland starts protecting monuments and not accusing Russia of damaging its image, it will “gladly talk about it at briefings instead of almost weekly appeals to Warsaw to fulfill its obligations to preserve memorials”.

Earlier, the press secretary of the minister-coordinator of the Polish special services Stanislav Zharin accused Russia of creating a bad reputation for the country. According to him, they are trying to make Poland problematic in the eyes of the European Union. “The biggest threat to Poland is the activity of the Russian Federation, which is based on lies, manipulation of the image of Poland, NATO, and the West,” Zharin said.
