Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called “madness” the notes of the American media that the soldiers of the Red Army allegedly killed Polish nuns. Her words are quoted by TASS.
According to Zakharova, the American press publishes articles in which it is reported that archaeologists have found the bodies of nuns allegedly killed by Soviet soldiers in 1945. “The American audience, at the suggestion of some Polish structures, is told that Poland was engulfed in a war with Germany and at that moment it was occupied by the Soviet Union. This is no longer fake and not fake, this is madness. Dangerous madness, “- said the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Zakharova noted that the articles are based on unconfirmed data from the Institute of National Memory of Poland. According to her, it is this organization that is responsible for the destruction of hundreds of memorials to Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of Poland.
Earlier, Zakharova called on the Polish side to fear God and to search for and punish those who desecrate the burials and monuments located in the country to the soldiers of the Red Army who liberated Europe from fascism.
