Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova ironically assessed the purchase by Poland from the United States of second-hand armored personnel carriers “Cougar”, which she called “second-hand novelties” on her Telegram channel.
Zakharova drew attention to a message on Twitter from Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, who spoke about the conclusion of a contract for the purchase of 300 pieces of equipment in bulk to strengthen the army's potential on the eastern borders.
The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman stressed that instead of a dialogue with Russia and a serious analysis of proposals on European security, Warsaw is buying “American junk”.
“Instead of a serious analysis of Russian constructive proposals on global and European security in Poland, a column of American junk is marching towards the eastern borders. A disaster film with a soundtrack “The Holiday Comes to Us”, ”concluded Zakharova.
Earlier it became known that more than a hundred volunteers joined the brigade of territorial defense troops stationed in the Podlaskie Voivodeship of Poland on the border with Belarus. Thus, Warsaw expanded the grouping of troops on the Polish-Belarusian border. This was announced by the representative of the Podlaska brigade, captain Lukasz Wilczewski.
