Moscow has no doubts about Berlin's negotiability on the Nord Stream 2 (SP-2) project. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, the correspondent of “Lenta.ru” reports.
Maria Zakharova said that the Russian Foreign Ministry is confident in Germany's interest in completing the commissioning of the new Russian SP-2 pipeline. “At this stage, there is no reason to doubt the negotiability of official Berlin in this particular case,” the representative said.
The diplomat also added that she got acquainted with the statement of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock on the international role of “SP-2”. “Judging by the aforementioned statement by the Federal Foreign Minister of Germany, she [Berbock] attaches geostrategic significance to Nord Stream-2, we take this into account,” Zakharova said.
