President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the reason for the delays in the start of supplies of the coronavirus vaccine to Ukraine that the country is not an equal member of the European Union. He stated this in an interview with HBO and Axios.
“We are not on the list of priority countries that are already receiving the vaccine,” Zelensky explained.
The head of state also noted that negotiations are underway for Ukraine's partner countries to share part of their vaccine supplies.
“It is very unpleasant to realize that you are standing with an outstretched hand,” the president noted.
Rambler wrote that earlier the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine expressed confidence that the country will be able to provide itself with vaccines from the world's leading manufacturers. He said that no one would register the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Ukraine.
