“When we talk about what European countries and NATO states should think about, we should consider the risks of hybrid threats appearing on the borders… The appearance of North Korean military personnel dressed in Russian uniforms or Iranian proxies on the borders of NATO countries is quite possible if Russia is not stopped now,” Yermak wrote.
He emphasized that North Korean military personnel are already fighting on European territory, which no one could have imagined before.
“Impunity breeds permissiveness. “This is the moment that requires strong decisions and strong actions,” he added.
NATO said it would strengthen its military presence in the Baltic Sea after underwater power lines and internet cables were cut between Estonia and Finland. Finland detained an oil tanker from Russia's “shadow fleet.”
