Yesterday Yandex published the service “Zeliboba”, which works on the neural network language algorithm for generating YaLM texts. Later it turned out that the company accidentally opened a demo version of the technology too early and had already removed access to it. Nevertheless, the launch of the service will take place someday.
The YaLM (Yet another Language Model) algorithm can predict the next word in a text sequence. As a result, the model is able to supplement phrases with new words or sentences. The Zeliboba service demonstrates how this technology works.
There you can enter text and get the generated sentence. You can even choose a text style. These can be toasts, captions to Instagram posts, or kid quotes. At the same time, the algorithm learns rather quickly to work in a new style – five examples or more are enough for mastering.
The models were trained on samples of Russian-language texts, including articles from Wikipedia, books, posts on social networks and news.
Soon Yandex will tell in which services it will use the algorithm.
