Yandex launched automatic translation of videos from English
The Russian search engine Yandex has added to the Yandex Browser service and the Yandex application the function of automatically translating videos from English into Russian, the head of Yandex Browser Roman Ivanov said on social networks.
“It all looks just like magic: you press the translate button in the desktop browser or Yandex mobile application and you get a video with two-voice voice acting almost instantly,” Ivanov said.
It is noted that the new function is available in the Yandex application for Android and iOS, as well as in Yandex Browser for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. The user has the ability to automatically translate videos published on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and other services. Yandex promised to expand the number of available platforms soon.
Let us remind you that in July the Yandex company announced the release of its new “smart speaker” “Light Station” in six colors with the voice assistant “Alice”.
And in the spring, translator Pavel Palazhchenko, who worked for a long time with ex-President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, spoke about the politician's phrases, which were not so easy to translate into English.
