It turned out that since the beginning of 2021, the audience of Yandex services began to fall significantly. Most of the users have lost the search engine.
This is evidenced by the data of “Yandex.Radar”. They show that the monthly audience of the Yandex main page in May decreased by almost 6% compared to a year earlier. The number of users of Kinopoisk (by 8%) and Yandex.Musy (by 40%) also decreased.
Yandex said that this data is erroneous. And experts believe that the decrease in the audience is due to seasonality and pandemic. In the spring, people started spending more time off the Internet. Some people think that the popularity of Yandex services could have been influenced by the scandal with the pre-installation of applications on smartphones, as well as aggressive advertising.
