Analyst firm Canalys has shared the results of a traditional analysis of the global smartphone market. According to the results of the second quarter of this year, the leader invariably remains the same – the Korean company Samsung. It showed 15% growth and gained 19% of the market.
The most interesting thing happened in second place – the Chinese company Xiaomi managed to bypass Apple! The manufacturer of mostly affordable smartphones posted impressive growth of 83% and captured 17% of the global market, losing only 2% to the champion. The American corporation Apple has secured the third line with 14% and the most modest growth rate in the top five – only 1%.
In fourth place was the OPPO company, whose products accounted for 10% of the world market. Its sales are up 28%. And another representative of the Celestial Empire closes the top five – the vivo company – with the same as OPPO, 10% of the market and almost the same growth rate of 27%.
And today, Yamaha introduced noise canceling headphones with spatial sound.
