Xiaomi has quietly launched a new 100W wireless charging station in China. It's called Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand. This is an improved version of the Mi 80W Wireless Charging Stand that was introduced in March.
The new charger is almost identical to the old one. The differences are in speed, color and security levels. The smartphone can be placed vertically or horizontally on the device.
As the name suggests, the new charger has a maximum output of 100W, as opposed to 80W for the old charger. Interestingly, none of the Xiaomi products can charge without a wire with such indicators.
The novelty has additional levels of protection, including overheating. The charger has two coils and a dynamic cooler. The accessory uses the Qi standard, so it can be used to charge almost any supported device. However, only the Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra and Mi MIX 4 smartphones can use Ultra-Fast Wireless Charging Mode. That is, these devices can be charged at their maximum power. The company claims that the Mi MIX 4 will fully charge in just 28 minutes using the Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand.
The device is priced at $ 92.
