Xiaomi has introduced Smart Glasses – the first serial “smart” glasses in the brand's line. When the device goes on sale and how much it will cost, the company does not say.
To form an image, the new product uses MicroLED technology, which has made it possible to integrate the necessary components into the bow of the glasses. There is also a quad-core ARM-chip, the size of which – 2.4×2.02 mm – is comparable to a grain of rice. It is stated that 497 components are used in Smart Glasses, including miniature sensors, communication modules, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, battery, touchpad and other elements. The device weighs 51 g runs on the Android operating system.
The new Xiaomi accessory allows the glasses to be used to make voice calls, display navigation, and also works as a real-time text and image translator. For translation, a built-in 5-megapixel camera, microphone and translation algorithm are used, capable of converting sound into text and translating it.
Earlier, we recall, Facebook showed its version of a device of this class – Stories, created in conjunction with the manufacturer of glasses Ray-Ban, which became the first “smart” glasses in the history of the company.
