Strategy Analytic has conducted a study, which resulted in interesting numbers. As reported, it was Xiaomi that became the leader in the supply of smartphones to the European continent.
As Boris Metodiev, associate director of the agency emphasized, the main event of the current quarter was that Xiaomi became the most productive manufacturer in terms of supply for the first time. The company has shipped nearly 13 million devices to Europe, displacing even long-term leader Samsung.
As noted, amid the success of Xiaomi, Samsung shipments to Europe fell by 7% compared to last year. Samsung is still doing well with the new 5G Galaxy A series models, but it faces growing competition from Chinese manufacturers in the low-end segment of budget gadgets for undemanding users.
It is also noted that Xiaomi's market share for the reporting period was 25.3%.
