TASS, September 13. The post quality control system on the social network Facebook allows a number of users with a large audience to post materials that violate the rules of the community. Such publications often go unnoticed by the moderators of the social network, writes The Wall Street Journal on Monday, having studied a number of internal documents of the company – the owner of the social network.

According to the publication, the XCheck system, also known as “cross-checking”, was developed by Facebook privately. Today it protects millions of popular users from publishing liability. These include, for example, celebrities, politicians and journalists. They are entered by the system into the so-called white list.

So, in 2019, the Brazilian striker of the French football club PSG Neymar published photos of a naked woman who had previously accused him of rape, the newspaper claims. The photo was seen by tens of millions of fans of the football player before the administration of the social network nevertheless deleted the publication after numerous complaints.
