WSG coach Silberberger:

The Tyroleans are praised for their courageous and offensive style of play. So far, the good performances are not reflected in the table.

It was good that Thomas Silberberger had already left the press conference room in the Tivoli stadium when Matthias Jaissle started his hymn of praise for WSG Tirol. “Compliments how the team pulls through their playing system,” said the Salzburg coach after the 3-1 win, the tenth win in the tenth competitive game, about the opponent's performance.

“I can't hear that anymore. We're back with empty hands,” said Thomas Silberberger. Round after round his team is praised from all sides for the attractive and offensive style of play, but the table does not reflect the very good performance. So far it has been a breadless art – after seven rounds, WSG Tirol is still running after its first win of the season.

For Thomas Silberberger, of course, there is still no fire on the roof. “Our performances are too good for that,” says the Tyrolean long-term coach. A departure from the offensive and courageous play system does not even occur to him. “We're not barricading ourselves in front of the gate with two double-decker buses. I would deny myself that. I don't walk away from the playground for a second.”

Silberberger is convinced: “We will make our points.” But the WSG coach has now also reached the point where he says: “I would prefer we play a shit again and win.”
