So, according to the doctor of biological sciences, virologist Anchi Baranova, the worst option from the point of view of evolution is the selection of people. According to Lenta.ru, in this case, the genotypes most sensitive to COVID-19 will minimize reproduction, and after two or three generations, the genetic structure of humanity will become completely different. It will be more resistant to infection.
At the same time, the specialist clarified that nothing terrible threatens humanity. This is due to the excellent adaptation of our species to everything, including due to the huge variety of genotypes.
So the worst thing that can happen this time is not at all terrible, because such cases have already happened. Even without vaccines and drugs, in two or three generations the genetic structure of humanity will become different – and the coronavirus will no longer frolic in it.
