“The scariest bodybuilder in the world” from Belarus, known for his extreme physique, has died at the age of 36.

Ilya “Golem” Efimchik was famous for his diet: he ate seven times a day and consumed a staggering 16,500 calories, including 108 pieces of sushi and 2.5 kilograms of steak.
Nicknamed the “158-kilogram beast” and also a mutant, he was 185 cm tall, with a 155 cm chest and biceps that protruded 63 cm.
His achievements included a 272 kg bench press, a 318 kg deadlift and 318 kg squats.
During his school years in Belarus, he weighed only 70 kg and was reportedly unable to do a push-up. He once said, “My transformation is the result of years of hard training and discipline, combined with an understanding of the physiology of exercise and nutrition. My mission is to instill a work ethic in people so they can overcome their fears and confidently act for the benefit of themselves and those around them.”
On September 6, Ilya suffered a heart attack at home. His wife Anna desperately performed cardiac massage while waiting for the ambulance. He was taken to the hospital, but despite all efforts, he could not be saved. His death was officially announced on September 11.
Encouraged by his school teacher, he found inspiration in the muscular physiques of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Before his untimely death, he was aiming to increase his weight to 172 kg.
Born in Belarus, he moved to the Czech Republic, the USA and, finally, Dubai, where he changed houses several times.
