The American company Arcflash Labs has begun accepting orders for the world's first Gauss hand cannon. It is, in fact, an electromagnetic mass accelerator.
The cost of the gun for the first buyers is $ 3375 (about 250 thousand rubles). And this is without taking into account the ammunition, magazine and charger. It is reported that the muzzle energy of the cannon is comparable to air rifles for hunting. As you might have guessed, the device is equipped with a battery – its charge is enough for 40 shots with pieces of reinforcement. The length of the latter can reach 52 mm. You can also make ammunition yourself. The magazine holds ten shells.
The gun contains eight high-voltage electromagnets, which are powered by LiPo-accumulators with a total capacity of 1000 W. The initial flight speed of the projectile is 75 m / s. The cannon is capable of firing up to 20 rounds per minute.
