The world has set a record for the number of deaths from coronavirus per day – 9,763 people died. Bloomberg reports.

It is noted that the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated. For example, in Greece, despite the introduction of a partial lockdown, the maximum number of positive cases of coronavirus per day was detected – 2 646. In the United States, the same figure for the first time exceeded 100 thousand.

Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned of the risks of reducing quarantine in contact with people infected with coronavirus. It is noted that reducing the duration of quarantine from 14 to ten or seven days for those in contact with carriers of coronavirus increases the risk of transmission. WHO recommends a 14-day quarantine for anyone who has been in contact with sick people.

As of November 5, over 48 million people in the world have contracted the coronavirus for all the time, of which more than 1.2 million have died, another 32 million have recovered. Most of the infected are in the United States, India, Brazil, Russia and France.
