Recently, a lawsuit was filed against Blizzard, in which it accused the company of covering up sexual harassment and gender discrimination. After all the hype, Blizzard President J. Allen Brack decided to leave the company.
Following the lawsuit, a list of Blizzard executives also emerged who were caught in inappropriate behavior. Brack was on this list, writes The Verge.
Brack was replaced by former Vicarious Visions CEO Jen Oneal and former Xbox CEO Mike Ybarra. Blizzard said the two men want to make the company a safe place for “women and people of every gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or experience.”
Brack joined Blizzard in 2018, having previously led the World of Warcraft development team. Several women who worked for the company told reporters that the World of Warcraft team was a source of “toxicity” due to the large amount of money the franchise brings in and the long tenure of high-level employees.
