Johannes Lamparter was operated on successfully.
Johannes Lamparter was crowned two-time combined world champion in Oberstdorf. Now an appendix operation throws him back in preparation.
World Cup hero Johannes Lamparter had to undergo an appendix operation last Friday. After pain in the abdominal area, Lamparter in the Hall in Tirol hospital was diagnosed with inflammation of the appendix, which was then surgically removed on Friday evening.
The operation went according to plan and the Rumer was able to leave the hospital again today, Monday.
Lamparter: “It's bitter that it caught me with appendicitis. However, it is better to have something like this in preparation now than during the season. Even if it is not optimal and my training rhythm is interrupted during preparation. Me however, I am glad that everything went well during the operation. “
While the double world champion has to do without sport and training for at least two weeks, his teammates got on the plane to Salt Lake City (USA) today. The national team is completing a two-week training course in Park City as part of their preparation.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf, the 19-year-old won big with individual gold on the large hill, gold in the team sprint and bronze on the normal hill.
