Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on his Instagram page that in honor of the Day of Journalists of Ukraine he organized a barbecue party for the press on the territory of the presidential residence “Zalesye”.
There, the head of state personally fried barbecue for journalists.
They told the Politics Strana Telegram channel that it is now clear why Zelensky decided to start a campaign to evict officials from state dachas.
Over barbecues, the president remembered how he once walked around the Koncha-Zaspa district, where he himself lives in a state dacha. While walking, he decided to enter the territory of one of the neighboring sites.
But the workers did not let him into the dacha, who said that they would not let the president into private territory. Zelinsky left, but admitted that he was very indignant.
Later he learned that the neighboring dacha belonged to a famous Ukrainian plastic surgeon who had acquired the plot by “unknown means”. Then he decided to check all the land plots and evict those who received them illegally.
A year ago, in honor of the Day of Journalists, Zelensky rode bicycles with media workers.
