The woman was given away by the fact that she was present at both crime scenes.
A 44-year-old woman has been detained in Greece for twice setting forest fires to watch rescuers work and flirt with them.
Yahoo.com reports this.
According to Greek media, on August 24 and 25, a woman set two separate fires on land in the village of Kerasitsa. The statement later claimed that she committed the crime because “she enjoyed watching the firefighters and flirting with them.”
However, the woman's presence at the scene of both fires aroused the suspicions of rescuers. And then the suspect was detained.
The report says that the woman received a “three-year suspended sentence” for causing fires in Greece. In addition, the local court fined her 1,000 euros.
The forest fires affected only small areas of land, causing minimal damage. The fire department quickly localized the flames and prevented their spread.
