The tourists refused to pay extra for luggage, and therefore decided to put on a lot of clothes.
British tourists bundled up in layers to avoid paying £70 luggage fees.
The British publication mirror.co.uk writes about this
Bee Solman, 31, and her partner Ben, 32, paid £280 for the return flight, including an extra charge for seat selection.
When the couple went to board the plane, Ben's bag didn't fit in the overhead bin. The staff told them they would have to pay an extra £70 to take it with them. The woman went to the toilet, where she unpacked her clothes and dressed in several T-shirts, jackets and seven pairs of trousers.
They were flying from Bristol Airport to Murcia International Airport, near Torrevieja, Spain.
“We were unlucky because the staff randomly picked us to check our bags. My bag fit fine in the locker, but Ben's bag did not, even when we tried to squeeze it in,” says Bee.
The couple was offered to pay extra for their luggage, but they refused and began to dress in the clothes that were in the bag.
“I had seven pairs of pants, two tops and a denim jacket on, Beni had two pairs of shorts, a T-shirt and three shirts, and he had a laptop mouse in his pocket,” B recalls.
The passenger notes that the airline employees treated their behavior with humor and eventually allowed them to board the plane. During the flight, the couple undressed and put their clothes back.
