On August 11, low-cost carrier Wizz Air announced the resumption of flights to Moscow due to “great demand”.
So, from 3 October flights will be operated every day. Tickets are even available for purchase on the airline's website.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi CEO Michael Berluis said this.
“Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operates a network of 34 destinations within a five-hour flight radius from Abu Dhabi by providing ultra-low fares to various destinations, we are supporting the travel and tourism industry in the UAE by improving connectivity both regionally and globally in line with national regulations and policies,” Berluis said.
It should be noted that other Emirati carriers, in particular Emirates, did not stop operating flights to Russia after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Recall that Russian airlines, due to Western sanctions, began to dismantle some of their aircraft for spare parts in order to repair others.
