Wishing to pay tribute to Prince Philip gathered at Windsor Castle
People come to Windsor Castle, where Prince Philip's funeral will take place today, to pay their respects to him.
According to a TASS correspondent, there are a total of about 1.5 thousand people at the castle. They arrived there despite police advising not to gather at the royal residences on the day of the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral.
It is noted that within a radius of two kilometers from the residence of Queen Elizabeth II, armed policemen are stationed every 100 meters to ensure security.
The British leave flowers, photographs of the duke, knitted figures of the royal couple, postcards and letters of condolence next to the fences, set up a hundred meters from the entrance to the castle on the east side.
Servicemen in full dress have already arrived in Windsor. More than 700 military men and four orchestras will take part in the funeral procession.
Prince Philip passed away on April 9 at the age of 99. The farewell ceremony and funeral will be held on April 17 in a private format.
Earlier it was reported that the British queen asked her grandchildren, Princes Harry and William, to separately follow the coffin of her grandfather, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
