Journalists of the publication noticed complaints from users of the OS from Microsoft, published on the support forum and Reddit. Some owners of licensed copies, they said, faced numerous problems. Gamers talked about the spoiled experience of the games – when they are launched, they often crash and crash, the graphics freeze, the frame refresh rate decreases.
In some cases, system errors and a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) may appear. In particular, one of the Reddit visitors noticed that a failure occurred on his PC, the system notified about the absence of drivers. “I let Windows perform a system restore, and then I got two blue screens of death,” said an OS user. According to him, the problems disappeared only after the removal of the current update.
The journalists noticed that the crashes were associated with a number of updates – KB5001330, KB5001337 (for versions 1930 and 1909) and KB5000842. Microsoft has not yet responded to the crash, but Windows users have begun to receive support from PC hardware manufacturers. In particular, on the Nvidia support forum, the drop in performance and problems in games were associated with the KB5000842 update.
At the end of March, users of the operating system from Microsoft complained about the KB5001649 update. Contrary to the expectations of specialists – the update was supposed to fix numerous errors – the update caused new breakdowns. Microsoft has made the decision to pause the rollout of the update.
