Windows Start Menu Broke

Windows users criticized the September OS updates that broke the system. About this with reference to messages on the Microsoft forum reports the edition of Windows Latest.

According to some users, after the system updates KB4571756 and KB4574727, some Windows functions began to work incorrectly. In particular, a number of users had problems with the “Start” menu – the icon of the OS system component stopped responding to pressing the cursor and calling with hot keys. Along with Start, the Action Center also turned out to be broken, in some cases the component stopped displaying information, showing an empty application window instead.

Some owners of licensed copies of Windows noticed that after the updates, the order of logging in to the system was disturbed. “I upgraded my OS to version 2004 and now I can't log in,” complained one of the users. Another noted that after a system update, his login and password stopped working.

Users and journalists blamed current Windows updates for the breakdown. Some of them noticed that after manually removing the update, the operating system restored normal performance.

One of the latest issues as of September faced by users of the OS from Microsoft was the disabling of the sleep function. According to complaints, after the next update, users lost the opportunity to activate this function by closing the lid of the personal computer.
