Recently, experts discovered a vulnerability in the Windows Print Spooler service. With this “security hole”, hackers could control the system remotely. Microsoft released a patch to fix this problem, but it broke some printers.
Many users have found that their printers, mostly Zebra brand models, do not connect to the PC after installing the KB5004945 patch. Microsoft has already acknowledged the problem. You can solve it by rolling back the update or reinstalling the printer with administrator rights.
Zebra also acknowledged the problem and said Microsoft will release an updated patch in the next couple of days.
If you don't have a Zebra printer, you don't have to wait for anything and install the update. This will help save you from a possible attack.
