The appearance of icons in Windows has changed. This is reported by The Verge.
Journalists studied a new preliminary OS build from Microsoft called Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21327. It included updated symbols for system programs and commands – for example, changing the font, pasting links, “copy” and “cut” and others. The new icons are reported to be simplified and rounded and more in line with the company's Fluent Design concept. It is also known that the text on symbols is made using the new Segoe Fluent Icons font.
The Windows team also said that the cards displayed in the Start menu stand out more colorfully, “making your news feed more attractive and beautiful.” Also added to the news section the ability to respond to certain topics – leave a comment or emoji.
Representatives of the company said that at the moment the innovations are available only in the preliminary assembly of the new version of Windows 10. Most of the users of the operating system from Microsoft will receive an updated OS interface in one of the updates before the end of the year.
The journalists drew attention to the fact that the representatives of the corporation mention the new generation of Windows. At the same time, information about when Windows 10, which debuted in 2015, will be replaced by Windows 11, is not disclosed.
In mid-February, it became known that Microsoft was working on a new version of Windows, codenamed Sun Valley. The update is expected to have a new look and feel, in particular, a redesigned Start menu. A major redesign of Windows 10 won't take place until mid-2021.
