Today, the American company Microsoft will present a new operating system Windows 11 at an online presentation. The kp.ru website will broadcast the presentation live online on June 24, 2021.
Over the past few months, company officials have repeatedly hinted at the preparation of a “new generation” of Windows – not just an updated version of the software, but a completely new operating system.
“We will soon be sharing one of the most significant Windows updates in a decade,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the Build conference the other day.
The previous version of the operating system – Windows 10 – came out quite a long time ago, in the summer of 2015. So far, a general idea of the new Windows 11 can be obtained through leaks and expert opinions. So, experts believe that the updated OP will be similar in its parameters to Windows 10X, which was planned to be released in 2021.
First of all, the changes will affect the design: in Windows 11, the Start button and icons of open programs will be located in the center of the taskbar at the bottom of the display, and the Windows icon itself will be four squares of the same size. Application icons in the new Windows have been rounded, making them similar to those in macOS from Apple.
Windows 11 Explorer is rumored to have a modern user interface. Most likely, the system tray area will also be updated. The presentation will showcase the new Action Center and the redesigned Settings app, as well as talk about new features in the Microsoft Store.
