Windows 11 baseline won't install without internet connection

by alex

In recent years, Microsoft has been trying in every possible way to link users to their online accounts and services. One of the steps in this direction was the difficulty with installing Windows 10 Home if you wanted to leave a “local account”.

The IT corporation in every possible way forced the user to either create or log into his Microsoft account. And the only way to avoid this fate was to forcibly disconnect the Internet before installing the system.

Now, according to How To Geek, this trick won't work anymore. Without logging into an online account, users will not be able to install the brand new Windows 11. And turning off the Internet will not help in this case.

Of course, over time, enthusiasts will be able to find a way around this limitation. But the very fact of such a step on the part of Microsoft clearly speaks volumes.
