Raid of Russian volunteers into the territory of the Russian Federation, which takes place in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, may not develop into a campaign against Moscow. But the actions of fighters against the Putin regime can become an impetus for the spread of the partisan movement and create a springboard for a further attack on the capital of the aggressor state.
This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, military expert Sergei Kuzan on air at the national telethon.
At the same time, he recalled that last summer it was after a similar action by the RDK and the Freedom of Russia Legion that the leader of the Wagner PMC, Evgeny Prigozhin, dared to make his partially successful campaign against Moscow, stopping 200 km from the capital.
“Russian volunteers outlined their goal very specifically: this is an anti-terrorist operation, and the Putin regime is, of course, a terrorist regime that has seized power in Russia. So they must destroy Putin himself and this terrorist regime,” said Kuzan.
The expert believes that such actions undermine Putin’s power in Russia; Russian volunteers are destroying the authority of the Kremlin boss, primarily in the eyes of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, demonstrating that the Russian dictator cannot ensure security during elections. He also predicts that the war will spread deeper into Russian territory due to the growth of the partisan movement.
“We see how ballot boxes are being set on fire right now in different regions. Individual acts of civil resistance are being carried out. More people are expressing a desire to join Russian volunteers. That is, relatively speaking, with today's effective actions, Russian volunteers are preparing for themselves the groundwork for later overthrowing Putin’s government in Moscow on a broader front,” Kuzan emphasized.
Recall that the Legion “Freedom of Russia”, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion, fighting against the Kremlin regime in the Russian Federation, turned to Vladimir Putin.
