Explosions at the airport testify to the disagreement of the Belarusians with the political course chosen by Lukashenka, the expert is sure.

Military expert, head of the Center for Military Legal Research Alexander Musienko believes that the explosions at the airfield in Machulishchi will not push the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko to join the war against Ukraine.

The expert expressed this opinion for Channel 24.

He is convinced that if Lukashenka has been avoiding entering the war for so long, now he will definitely not do this.

“This will be an argument for Lukashenka not to enter the war, because he sees how weakening his partner and the state that is forcing him to join this. This state is getting closer to defeat,” Musienko stressed.

He also expressed the opinion that the explosions at the airport testify to the disagreement of the Belarusians with the political course chosen by Lukashenka.

“Lukashenko's policy has led to the fact that he has such an opposition, so these political factors will intensify repressions against his own,” the expert added.

“Bavovna” at the airfield “Machulishchi”

On February 26, explosions were heard at the Machulishchi military airfield in Belarus, from where enemy aircraft often take off. As a result of the explosions, a Russian A-50U reconnaissance aircraft, which coordinated missile launches in Ukraine, was damaged. The plane was attacked by drones.

The Belarusian opposition informed that the front and central parts of the aircraft, avionics and radar antenna were damaged. It is noted that these damages are serious and the plane will definitely not fly anywhere. According to them, the operation could have been arranged by local partisans who are already abroad.

Disabling the aircraft would limit Russia's ability to conduct air operations, according to British intelligence.
