The abnormal heat in the center of European Russia does not mean that summer will come prematurely, and does not indicate a crop failure, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the forecaster, the very warm weather in April is only an episode that will not affect the harvest in the fall.
“All events that are associated with a duration of two – three – four days are nothing for nature. It is extremely rare for such weather to happen in spring, you need to enjoy it … The surge of heat does not in any way affect the weather in summer, and this does not mean that summer has already begun, “Vilfand stressed, adding that the region will continue to face rains “.
According to him, the main characteristic of the planet's atmosphere is its instability. This is precisely the guarantee of a normal human existence. According to Wilfand, over the past 35 years, the variability of the atmosphere in the world has increased.
Earlier, forecasters warned residents of European Russia about a slight cold snap coming at the weekend. So, from Friday the temperature will drop by 7 – 8 degrees in comparison with the existing rates. Light rain is forecasted on Friday and Saturday.
