Wild cougar rescued from an apartment in New York

The US authorities rescued a wild cougar from an apartment in New York. From a cramped human dwelling, she moved to a special animal shelter, writes The Business Times .

An 11-month-old cougar named Sasha, who weighs 36 kilograms, lived in a house in the Bronx. Police officers, representatives of the United States Animal Welfare Society, city officials and employees of the Bronx Zoo came to pick her up. The owner was present during the process and voluntarily turned in his pet to the authorities.

First, the animal was taken to the Bronx Zoo, where it was examined by veterinarians. Then the cougar was transported to a special animal shelter in Arkansas.

We will remind, in the fall of 2019 in Spain, the police found an albino tiger in the villa of a married couple who grew marijuana. And in May this year, a bear cub was seized from a resident of the Russian city of Chebarkul, with whom he walked on city beaches.
