It happened in a wooded area, and the pilots (thank God!) Ejected, they were quickly found by rescuers and taken to the hospital by helicopter. Both pilots refused to go to the examination, saying that they feel fine. Well, as often happens in such cases, there is informational confusion.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation says that the plane flew for scheduled repairs to Perm. Some news agencies report that the Su-24 was “performing a planned flight.”
The press service of the Central Military District says that “the plane was involved in the exercises of the 21st mixed aviation division.”
Well, okay, the most important question still remains – what caused the combat vehicle to crash? So far, only a version is being discussed – “technical problems of the bomber.”
Although this, of course, does not mean anything. Another thing sounds much clearer – the failure of technology.

Su-24 is a Soviet and Russian tactical front-line bomber with a variable sweep wing, designed to deliver missile and bomb strikes in simple and difficult weather conditions, day and night, including at low altitudes with targeted destruction of ground and surface targets. Carrier of tactical nuclear warheads. The unmodified version of the aircraft was withdrawn from service in 2016. The modified version of the Su-24M is gradually being replaced by the Su-34 front-line bomber in the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The Su-24 is considered a rather difficult aircraft to fly and has a high accident rate. Only during flight tests 14 Su-24 and Su-24M were lost. After the aircraft was put into service, 5-6 accidents and disasters occurred annually, in particular, during the period 1988-1992, 27 aircraft crashed.
