WHO records a record increase in coronavirus infections per day

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded another record increase in new cases of coronavirus infection in the world over the past day. The statistics on the infected virus were published on the official website of the WHO.

According to the organization, 505,756 patients with coronavirus have been registered in the last 24 hours. The previous record was recorded on October 24, when 490,298 cases of the virus were detected.

On October 27, WHO recorded a record increase in coronavirus infections in a week. Thus, the number of infected worldwide increased by 2.8 million people, which was the highest figure for the entire pandemic. At the same time, the number of fatalities increased by almost 40 thousand, which is several thousand more than a week earlier.

According to the World Health Organization, a total of 44,888,869 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the world. 1,178,475 people died as a result of the epidemic.
