In the world in 24 hours, the number of new cases of coronavirus, according to WHO, turned out to be a record – more than 445 thousand new cases were recorded. The total number of cases already exceeds 41.5 million.

As noted by TASS, WHO statistics take into account only information on infection and death provided by states. Most cases in the European Region, North and South America in second place. In total, they accounted for almost 400 thousand cases.

The leader in the number of cases is still the United States, followed by India, Brazil, Russia, Argentina, Spain. There are over a million cases in all these countries.

The WHO believes that in the next couple of months, the situation with COVID-19 in the world will be very serious. The Russian epidemiologist gave a forecast when the incidence in the country will decline.
